1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hooked, a carp fishing discovery platform operated by Implement Ascend AI Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17095239), whose registered office is at 75 Church Road, Tiptree, Colchester, England, CO5 0HB (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hooked. Users under 13 may only use the service with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, who will be responsible for their use of the platform. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You may register directly with an email address and password, or via Facebook Login. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@carpnearme.co.uk.

4. The Service

Hooked provides a directory of UK fisheries, a catch-reporting leaderboard, and tools for anglers to discover and review waters. Venue information (prices, availability, rules) is provided for guidance only — always verify details directly with the venue before travelling. We do not operate any of the listed fisheries and accept no liability for their accuracy.

5. Fishing Responsibly

All anglers are responsible for complying with applicable laws, including holding a valid Environment Agency rod licence and obtaining permission from the relevant fishery or landowner before fishing. Anglers under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult where required by the venue. Hooked accepts no liability for illegal or unsafe fishing activities.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of catch reports, photos, reviews, and comments you post (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and promote it within the Hooked platform and our marketing materials.

You must not include personal information (e.g. real names, locations, school names) about users you know to be under 18 in any publicly visible post.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these Terms or our community guidelines.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use Hooked to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content about fisheries or other users.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the platform without our written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

All software, design, text, graphics, and branding on Hooked (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to Implement Ascend AI Limited and protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Links & Venues

Hooked may contain links to third-party websites and fishery listings. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or venue. Links do not constitute an endorsement.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that fishery information will be accurate or up to date.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Implement Ascend AI Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury sustained while fishing at a venue discovered through Hooked.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

12. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we have reasonable grounds to believe your use of the service harms other users or third parties. You may delete your account at any time — see our Data Deletion Instructions for details.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
